01 / ABOUT

A specialist engineering business, built on deep expertise

A specialist engineering business, built on deep expertise

E-Motiv operates as a specialist engineering team, working with OEMs and selected engineering partners to develop, demonstrate and commercialise multi-speed transmission technology for electric powertrains.

Current demonstrator development and vehicle integration is being undertaken with IAAPS, supported by selected specialist partners. E-Motiv's technology also builds on development undertaken through previous Innovate UK Government-funded programmes.

02 / FOUNDATION

Our foundation

Our foundation

E-Motiv’s technology builds on a substantial body of seamless-shift and torque-handover development originating from Zeroshift’s high-performance transmission and OEM engineering programmes.

These principles, together with the associated transmission technology and intellectual property now being developed by E-Motiv, provide the foundation for our multi-speed EV transmission systems.

Current development is focused on application-specific architectures, controls and vehicle-level evaluation.

04 / APPLICATION FIT

From technical potential to application fit

From technical potential to application fit

For OEMs and engineering teams, a promising technical principle is only part of the decision. Suitability also depends on packaging, integration, controls, test results, programme resources and the commercial case.

Our discussions can therefore begin with the customer’s operating envelope, vehicle objectives and evidence requirements. A structured evaluation can then establish which of the four value levers is relevant and how it could be assessed in that application.
