E-Motiv’s transmission technology builds on development undertaken through a £1m Innovate UK-funded programme with BSA Motorcycles.
The programme
The design-and-build programme was funded through Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency, and carried out with BSA Motorcycles and with IAAPS at the University of Bath. Its aim was to develop production-ready seamless-shift systems for the next generation of electric vehicles. It led to a new patent.
Where it leads
That work continues today with IAAPS, where the E-Motiv demonstrator is being developed alongside Envisage Group.
