E-Motiv’s technology, formerly branded Zeroshift, was developed in motorsport. Aprilia has raced the patented combustion-engine technology in MotoGP since 2015.

From racing to electric

A new patent has recently been developed through a £1m Innovate UK grant-funded design-and-build programme for a very different challenge: delivering production-ready seamless-shift systems for the next generation of electric vehicles.

The same approach

The principle remains the same: solve complex engineering problems, test the technology in the most demanding conditions, and take those learnings into the next application.
